(Stillwater) — A bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Cushing teenager who failed to appear in court Tuesday on three counts of breaking into cars in the 200 block of North Cleveland Street on Nov. 4.
Justin Kelly Bass, 18, is accused of entering the vehicles by throwing a brick through the back window of a 1990 Ford Mustang, by breaking the driver’s side window of a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier, and by opening an unlocked door of a 1991 Honda Prelude.
If convicted of three second-degree burglary counts, Bass could be given as much as a 21-year prison term, according to the formal charges that were filed Thursday by Payne County Assistant District Attorney Kathy Thomas.
