N.B.C. Bancshares in Pawhuska, Inc. has announced that it will merge its two subsidiary companies, Bank of Cushing and Blue Sky Bank. The proposed merger will result in a $340 million asset community bank better able to serve its commercial and consumer clients through access to six bank branches in Northeast Oklahoma and expanded use of technology allowing clients to easily access their balances, make payments, and deposits remotely via digital banking.
Brenda Magdeburg, Bank of Cushing President, is excited about the merger: “We are ready to take thenext step and merge with BlueSky Bank. We will be able to help our customers with a mobile app, remote deposit, and merchant card services. By putting the two banks together, we will keep up with technology trends and make life more convenient for our Cushing residents.”
The Cushing branches will continue to operate under the name Bank of Cushing. Kelly Young, Bank of Cushing’s Vice President said, “We will use this merger as an opportunity to refresh our logo and our colors; keep an eye out for the change!”
