(Cushing, Okla.) — The Bank of Cushing is pleased to announce that Kelly Young has recently been hired as Vice President of Bank Administration.
“We are excited to have Kelly on our team. He is respected throughout the community for his honesty,
integrity, and accomplishments. He shares Bank of Cushing’s vision and passion and above all, our
commitment to service our customer’s financial needs. I have been impressed with Kelly through our
mutual years of involvement with the Economic Development Foundation and the Cushing Chamber of
Commerce. When he moved to Cushing, he immediately volunteered for the roles of Chamber
President, served on the board of the Economic Development Foundation, Cushing Regional Hospital
Foundation and Cushing Public Schools Foundation. It was evident to me that he has a passion to make
Cushing a better place to live, work, and raise a family. He understands that the amenities that Cushing
has to offer is uncommon for a city our size and is proud to call it home,” said Brenda Magdeburg, Bank
of Cushing President.
Kelly joins Bank of Cushing from Young Energy Products, LLC, formerly Young Oil Tools, where he was
Owner and President. Young Oil Tools sold to Young Energy Products, LLC and Kelly remained President
and General Manager. His background and experience will allow the Bank to engage with new
opportunities. His decision-making abilities aided Young Oil Tools to grow their staff almost three-fold,
creating jobs for Cushing and the surrounding area residents.
Kelly’s primary responsibilities at Bank of Cushing will include building customer relationships, creating
and implementing innovative methods in overseeing day-to-day functions of the Bank and the staff,
developing new market and customer outreach strategies, and assuring bank regulation compliance.
Kelly holds an MBA as well as a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from
Oklahoma State University.
When Kelly and his wife, Jill, moved to Cushing they made a commitment to Cushing, to make it their
home and serve others. They are active members of the Tri-County Church of Christ and serve the
community by leading the GriefShare support group.
“Kelly has the traits and characteristics of what it takes to be a great small-town banker and Bank of
Cushing is excited about the future with Kelly on our team,” said Magdeburg.
