(Cushing, Okla.) – Jimmie L. Cravens, representing the Cushing-Drumright Elks Lodge No. 2712, and Hope Boykin, representing the Bank of Cushing, made a donation to the Cushing Police Department and Cushing Emergency Management this morning because of their continued support of the annual Earl Gibble Easter Egg Hunt held in Memorial Park.
“Donations are not something we anticipate when we support various community activities like the Easter egg hunt,” Chief Terry Brannon said. “When you have great community partners like the Cushing-Drumright Elks Lodge and Bank of Cushing supporting an event like the Easter egg hunt, I believe we have a responsibility to ensure a safe, fun event for everyone involved because it supports our continued good quality of life in Cushing,” Brannon said.
This year’s Easter egg hunt was enjoyed by many kids throughout Cushing and the Cimarron Valley. Some 6,000 eggs were placed in Memorial Park for the Easter egg hunt.
