Owner Doug Baker has been named the “Hero of Hope” for the American Cancer Society. A year ago, Baker lost his wife Karen to cancer. His strong faith and ministry as a Hero of Hope serves as an example to others who have loved ones battling cancer.
The sale of the t-shirts is a fundraiser for the Baker Pharmacy Relay for Life team.
“I am so proud of his (Doug’s) strength, his faith, and his ministry through the American Cancer Society as the Hero of Hope,” Marcia Pixler, fellow Relay for Life Baker Pharmacy team member said. “What an awesome example! I know Karen is proud of him as we (at Baker Pharmacy) are.”
This year’s Relay for Life goal is $91,000. Last year teams raised over $89,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Cushing-Drumright Relay for Life will be held June 1st.
