(Cushing, Okla.) — Authorities are searching for a woman accused of shoplifting at the Cushing Walmart from which she had been forbidden and attacking two asset protection female employees.

An arrest warrant was issued on July 29 for Jamie Lynn Segura, 27, also known by the surname of Jackson, who listed a Cushing address and previously lived in Yale, court records show.

If apprehended and convicted, Segura could be given as much as 20 years in prison for two felony counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon plus 40 days in jail for misdemeanor counts of shoplifting and trespassing after being forbidden, court records show.

Cushing Police Officer Sara Reynolds was sent to the Cushing Walmart at 5:01 p.m. on June 29 on a report of shoplifting and assault, according to her affidavit.

An employee “informed me Segura had changed her shirt, dumped the bag she was carrying in the ditch, and got a ride from an individual in a silver Ford Raptor,” while hitchhiking, the Cushing officer alleged in her affidavit.

When one of the Walmart employees tried to recover merchandise from Segura, “She immediately tried fleeing and started swinging an Ipad at me…She struck my left hand with the Ipad and I let go,” she alleged in a statement for police contained in the affidavit.

After another Walmart employee tried recovering the merchandise, Segura began swinging at her and struck her in the face with the Ipad, the affidavit alleged.

Segura “ran out of her shoes, traveling south through the lot and then west towards town. She was wearing a pink and blue striped shirt, but switched it to black, then switched it back. Her purse was blue and white.

“The. items she selected were shampoo and conditioner with pump tops, cosmetics including red nail polish, a black crate, a tea, reading glasses She also selected items in electronics,” the affidavit alleged.

One employee wrote in a statement that she recovered the Ipad after it was dropped and called police, the affidavit alleged.

“I looked at the Ipad that had a broken screen, but you could still see what was on it showing her Facebook page with her name Jamie Lynn Jackson on it, with her pictures on it,” the employee wrote in a police report.

“She was already trespassed under the name of Jamie Lynn Segura, a.k.a. Jackson,” the affidavit alleged.

According to court records, Segura had pleaded guilty last November to drug possession for which she was given a one-year deferred sentence with an order to complete a substance abuse evaluation, perform any recommended follow-up treatment, comply with the methamphetamine registry, undergo random drug tests and be supervised by Payne County Drug Court for six months.

The Payne County District Attorney’s Office has filed documents alleging that Segura has violated the terms of her probation by failing to report to Drug Court, not paying various fees, and by committing assaults at the Cushing Walmart, shoplifting and trespassing in the store, court records show.
