Armande deMontigny, retired corporate pilot, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012, in Tulsa at the age of 79 years.

    The son of the late John L. deMontigny and Clara Laura Wilkie deMontigny, Armande was born on May 22, 1932 in Belcourt, N.D. and was raised and educated in that area.

    He was united in marriage to Elsie Scott on August 1, 1952 and the couple had been married for almost 60 years.

    Armande enjoyed his life as a pilot as well as hunting, fishing, various fire arms and spending time with his family and friends.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the American Legion.  He was also a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.

    He is survived by his wife Elsie, of Cushing; his children, Duane deMontigny and his wife Susan of Holland, Indiana, Roxanne Stallworth and her husband Charles of Cushing, Terry DdeMontigny and his wife Tatyana of Fort Meyers, Florida, Sandra McDonald and her husband Edward of Helena, Montana and Jeff DdeMontigny of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two brothers Charles DdeMontigny of Kent, Washington and William “Euclid” DdeMontigny of Belcourt, North Dakota; one sister Helen Ruth Akers of Richardson, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

    Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 2 P.M. in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

    Military services will be conducted by the local American Legion Post #108.
