Arlis Annette Boley, L.P.N./materials manager, and resident of Cushing, passed away Friday evening, June 27, 2014 in her home at the age of 62 years.

    The daughter of the late William Jefferson Evans and Bessie Epps Evans, Arlis was born on February 24, 1952 in Cushing, Oklahoma and was raised and educated in the Agra area, graduating from Agra High School with the class of 1970.  Following high school she received her L.P.N. certificate and had worked for the Cushing Hospital, the Cimarron Correctional Center, and the Stillwater Hospital. Arlis was currently working for Stillwater Surgery Center, a division of the Stillwater Medical Center, where she had worked for 15 years.

    Arlis enjoyed gardening, face painting, swimming, playing ping pong, dying Easter eggs, listening to music, dancing, the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.  She also loved to travel, traveling to many places including Hawaii, South Carolina, Atlantis, Cancun, Cozumel and California.

    Survivors include her daughter Jenniffer Blankinship and her husband Chris of Cushing; son, David Boley of Atlanta, Texas; three grandchildren, Kagan Boley, Hannah Blankinship and Tyler Blankinship; five brothers and sisters including Twila Cormack of Sand Springs, Mona and Charlie Butts of Sand Springs, Neta and Mike Dunn of Sand Springs, Ted and Debbie Evans of Collinsville; 10 nieces and nephews; 20 great nieces and nephews; 5 great-great-nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends, including her best friend of over 37 years, Linda Dennis.

    In addition to her parents, Arlis was preceded in death by one brother, Lyle Evans and his wife, Anita Evans.

    Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church with Brother Keith Moore officiating.

    Serving as casketbearers will be Dr. Jeff Scott, Keith Hunter, Todd Prough, Doug Blessen, Phillip Lann, Dr. Don Crawley and Eugene Dennis.

    Burial will follow in the Tryon Cemetery.

    The family will greet friends on Monday evening from 6 – 8 in the Floyd Family Center.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stillwater Medical Center Foundation, Outpatient Surgery Center, P.O. Box 2408, Stillwater, Oklahoma  74076-2408, in her honor.
