(Stillwater, Okla.) — A 41-year-old Phoenix, Arizona man has been given a 15-year prison term followed by 10 years of probation for sexually abusing a child when he lived in Stillwater.
Christopher Allen Ricketson, who had been sought for seven months until he was located in Wyoming 16 months ago, pleaded guilty to the Payne County charge last week.
Ricketson was sentenced by Payne County Associate District Judge Michael Kulling, who ordered him to register as a sex offender when he completes his prison sentence.
The girl’s mother, who now lives in another state, had reported to Stillwater police in 2016 that her daughter had been sexually assaulted at age 4 or 5 when they lived with Ricketson at an apartment on N. Perkins Road in 2014, an affidavit said.
The girl’s mother said that on the previous day, she had seen her daughter performing sexual activity with her 5-year-old brother in the bathtub, the affidavit said.
When the mother asked what they were doing, the girl said, “playing a game (Ricketson) taught her,” the affidavit said.
A forensic interview of the girl was held at a Child Assessment Center in the state in which the family now lives, the affidavit said.
The girl told the interviewer, “The incident occurred only once at their house in Oklahoma,” the affidavit said.
Stillwater Police Lt. Kyle Bruce watched the video and audio recording in which the incident was disclosed, his affidavit said.
The girl’s mother confirmed that the girl “only lived in the apartment in Stillwater during their time in Oklahoma,” the affidavit said.
