(Cushing, Okla) — Special Elections will be held throughout the state, Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020.

In Payne County, voters will decide whether or not to continue 1/4 of a cent sales tax and designate it to go toward roads and bridges in Payne County.  This will not increase your taxes.  It will re-purpose the current 1/4 of a cent sales tax used to build Payne County Jail which will be paid off in 2021.  See proposition as it appears on the ballot  here:  SAMPLE BALLOT

City of Cushing voters will elect a commissioner for Seat #5 on the Cushing Board of Commissioners.  Your choices are: Rick Lofton, Lance Larson, and incumbent Don Amon.

Stillwater voters will elect a council member for Seat #3.  Those running are: Slade James Mielitz and John R. Wedlake.

Pawnee County voters will vote on a proposition for a $1.5 million bond to remodel the gym and add on a safe room for Jennings Public School.

Cleveland voters will elect two council members.  Those running for city council in Ward 3 are Catherine D. Carter and Justin Hager.  At Large city council member choices are: Heather Rosenhamer, David Cordle, and David Carter.  (this is to fill an unexpired term)
