(Cushing, OK) — It’s almost the 4th of July and lots of folks will be celebrating with family cookouts, gatherings and of course, FIREWORKS!  Here are some of the events in and near the Cimarron Valley.  Have a safe and fun-filled 4th everyone!

CUSHING – Cushing Fire Department presents: 4th of July Fireworks Show in Memorial Park!  Fireworks will start around 9:15 pm, (dusk) and last about 30 – 45 minutes.  Fireworks are set up at the back of the baseball field (5th & Thompson).  Come early (5 pm – til show starts) and enjoy hotdogs cooked by Lifeline Assembly – $5 will get you a hotdog, ships and drink.  (While supplies last) Bake Sale items will also be available.

DRUMRIGHT – Drumright’s 4th of July Celebration will kick off with a parade of bicycles, power wheels & wagons! (no gas powered vehicles) at Whitlock Park (Jones & 2nd Street)  Live music begins at 7 pm and will go until the fireworks start at dusk.  Enjoy some great music by up-and-comer Zac Reese and the always popular NEW DYNASTY band!  Special thanks to OG&E for helping sponsor this fun, family event!

PERKINS – Perkins will be lighting up the sky, Friday, July 4th, starting at dusk!  Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs and cameras to capture the moments you’ll want to remember!  Fireworks show is at Peters Park -parking available at Perkins Elementary School parking lot.  This year’s primary sponsor is Payne County Bank.  Supporting sponsors: First Bank & Trust and Oklahoma Community Credit Union.  The City of Perkins invites you to come together to celebrate our freedom and “show what makes Perkins shine” – its people, pride and community spirit!

STILLWATER – BOOMER BLAST, July 4th, Boomer Lake Park.  Festivities begin at 6 pm, fireworks at 9:30 pm.  Local vendors, food trucks and “hometown hospitality”!  Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to sit back and enjoy the free fireworks show set to music!

PAWNEE – Lots of fun in Pawnee over the 4th of July weekend!  Not only is it the annual Pawnee Nation Homecoming Powwow (July 3 – 6) and all of its festivities, the townsquare will be alive on Friday with good old fashioned games for the young and young at heart!  – Turtle races, egg and boot tosses, horse shoes, water balloons, sack races and more!  Turtle race registration at 8 am and they’ll be off to the races at 9 am!  At 10 pm, enjoy an exceptional display of patriotic fireworks at Pawnee Lake.  Park along any side of the lake to witness beautiful bursts of light!

STROUD – 4th of July Celebration at Foster Park, Stroud.  Fun starts at 5 pm, with FREE hot dogs (sponsored by First Bank & Trust), 5 – 8 pm, live music by Loose Gravel from 6 – 9:30 pm, Stroud Fire Department will have a giant slip-n-slide and the Lions Club will have a dunk tank with some of your favorite locals to dunk!  Come out and join the fun!
