Antonio Orlando Torres, age 24 of Cushing, Oklahoma passed away, Friday morning, February 13, 2009. “Tony” was Native American and is a member of the Sac Fox Tribe and is also of Mexican decent. His funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Fuenral Home of Cushing, Oklahoma and services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the Chapel of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing with Don Abney officiating, followed by a traditional ceremony at the home of Raymond Massey. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning at the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.

Antonio was born on January 23, 1985 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Alfredo and Cheryl (Barker) Torres. He graduated from Cushing High School in 2003. He was a student at Meridian Technical School of Stillwater in body and collision repair and would have graduated in May of 2009. He was a member of the Native American Church, liked to play basketball, loved his truck, enjoyed singing at powwows and was a great fan of northern style singing and was a big Sooner fan.

He is survived by his parents, Alfredo and Cheryl Torres of Cushing; four brothers, Justin Torres and wife Michelle of Mayetta, Kansas, Fernando Torres of Cushing, Ralph Bohanon of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Christopher Lee, three nephews, Preston, Eli, and Ian Torres, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nadine Barker.
