(Cushing, Okla.) Congratulations to Anna Marie Ahrberg of Cushing for being selected to represent Oklahoma in the national Distinguished Young Women (DYM – formerly Jr Miss) program! Ahrberg won the title at the Oklahoma DYW competition held Saturday, July 23, 2011. It is the third year in a row Payne County’s DYM has been selected to go on and represent the state in the national competition.
Ahrberg earned the title of the 2012 Distinguished Young Woman of Payne County in March of this year. She is the daughter of Bill and Jo Ahrberg and will be a senior at Cushing High School this fall.
Additionally, Payne County and Oklahoma’s DYW 2011, Devin Kerns, of Stillwater, was selected June 25, 2011 as one of the top ten finalists at national competition.
Ahrberg’s national competition will be June 28, 2012 in Mobile, AL.
