New music fans will dig the adds to the KUSH rotation for this week. Not only have we dropped newly released JJ Cale tracks from his forthcoming posthumous release, Stay Around, listeners will also hear The Felice Brothers with some great lyrics on “Days of Years”.

Ben Dickey’s “I Think It’s All Different” is a creeping, meditative rocker, and The Infamous Stringdusters blow up the radio with “Rise Sun,” “Planets,” and “Carry Me Away”.

We also are mixing in Amour featuring Colin Linden and Luther Dickinson on a cover of “Don’t Let Go,” and a honky-tonk gem, “Get A Little Goner” by Joel Hofman. Sunday morning listeners¬† can catch a couple of inspirational tracks from Luther Dickinson and Sisters of the Strawberry Moon – “Hallelujah (I’m a Dreamer)” and “Hold to His Hand”. KUSH is always on the lookout for uptempo twangy tracks with some original lyrics – and gets hyper excited about local artists who also fit this aesthetic. Most interesting band added this week: Big Daddy T’s Judas Goat. Psycho blues with a three-pronged hook. Hear it late on KUSH After Dark… Later yawl!
