(Cushing, Okla) — American Legion Post 108 will host a formal flag retirement at the Post located at 214 S Noble Ave, Cushing, at 10 am Saturday, October 25, 2025. The retirement ceremony is accordance to “Flag Retirement” in the “2025 Officer’s Guide and Manual of Ceremonies” American Legion. This ceremony is open to the public and any other groups who wish to attend or assist.
The ceremony will also be dependent on weather and fire weather warning status. It is an outdoor ceremony, but Post 108 building will be open. There will be coffee and water available for those present. Please bring chairs if you plan to stay until the last flag is retired.
Legionnaires are asked to wear their cap and any legion shirt. Please dress for the weather.
