(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A collision occurred at 3:15 (p.m.) on March 28, 2015 on SH18 at Eseco Road, which is five miles west of Cushing’s city limits (Payne County).
Orpha White (36) of Tumwater, Washington was driving a 2012 Toyota Scion which was stopped facing south on the southbound side of the road just north of Eseco Road while Christina Arthur (38) of Cushing, Oklahoma was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup that was headed southbound on SH18. White’s Toyota suddenly turned from the side of the road into the path of Arthur’s Dodge.
White was transported by AirEvac to Integris Baptist (OKC) in stable condition where she was treated and released with head, arm, leg, and trunk external injuries. White was pinned about 20 minutes prior to being freed. Arthur was not injured in the accident.
Reports say an improper left turn was the cause of the accident and that seat-belts were in use.
