(Stillwater, Okla.) — A 79-year-old man has been jailed on $150,000 bail pending his arraignment on Sept. 29 on felony charges accusing him of sexually abusing three young children between 2013 and 2014 at his residence in Yale.

If convicted of three counts of abusing a child under the age of 12, Jerry Wayne LeForce could be given as much as three life prison terms, court records show.

The case was filed this week against LeForce after Payne County Sheriff’s Investigator Rockford Brown observed forensic interviews with the three children at the Saville Center in Stillwater last week, court records show.

During the first of three alleged assaults on one child, LeForce told the child not to tell anyone and said if the child did, LeForce “would get into a lot of trouble and go away for a long time,” the affidavit alleged.

During the second alleged assault on that same child, LeForce told the child “not to tell anyone or it would be ‘really bad for you,"” the affidavit alleged.

The third alleged assault on that same child ended when the child’s voice raised and “LeForce ultimately let (the child) go,” the affidavit alleged.

A second child said an assault stopped on the second child “when someone opened the door to the room,” the affidavit alleged. That child “did not know if the other person witnessed the assault,” on the second child, the affidavit alleged.

A third child “pretended to be asleep during the assault,” on the third child, the affidavit alleged.
