(Tulsa, Okla) The 5th Annual Mid-Continent Digital Oilfield Conference (MCDOC) is set for January 25 and 26 at the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center in Tulsa. Attendees will hear from national experts on cutting-edge oilfield technology that can help reduce costs and boost production. Attendees will also have a rare opportunity to tour the state of the art University of Tulsa North Campus Research Facility.
Throughout the two-day conference, attendees will hear from local and national leaders on how technology is changing day-to-day business throughout the industry. This year’s topics include drones, well site monitoring, technology and regulations challenges and a panel discussion from Oklahoma seismicity experts. The keynote speaker is Dr. Mohan Kelkar, Williams Professor of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Tulsa. He will be talking about how research at the university level is directly contributing to technological advancements in the oilfield today.
The MCDOC also provides a unique platform for networking with peers. Several networking opportunities are available throughout the event as well as plenty of time to visit exhibitor booths.
The MCDOC is hosted by the Committee for Sustaining Oklahoma’s Energy Resources, or SOER. Previously the Marginal Well Commission, SOER encourages new processes or technological advancements to sustain the oil and natural gas industry in the future for the benefit of the citizens of Oklahoma, and to advance activities to support marginally producing oil and natural gas wells. SOER is a part of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board.
