(Cushing)- A three car traffic accident just before 4 O’Clock Wednesday Afternoon resulted in multiple injuries. Details of the accident were not available, but eyewitnesses indicated that oncoming vehicles sideswiped, and one of the vehicles then collided head on with a third vehicle. Several Cushing ambulances were dispatched to the scene. Scanner traffic initially indicated as many as six people were injured, but the number actually transported appeared to be less. None of injuries appeared to be life threatening.
The accident occured in front of the south entry into the Wal-Mart Parking lot, and tied up traffic in both directions for more than an hour as crews worked to clear the scene.
