On Thursday, Cushing Rotary president, Rick Ahrberg, thanked his fellow Rotarians and the public for making this year’s Rotary Radio Auction a huge success.   The auction aired on KUSH 1600 AM Radio last Sunday, Oct. 11th.

Ahrberg reported the auction brought in $7650 for the club.  The funds raised will go toward activities that help the community such as the annual dictionary giveaway.  Each year, Rotarians present Cushing third graders with their own dictionary.

“We’ve heard that these kids are so proud of their dictionaries,” John Rhoten said recently.  “They love it that they get to take them home at the end of the year and keep them forever.”

Cushing Rotary Club meets each Thursday at noon at Steer Inn Restaurant.
