The 1958 CHS football champs came back to town 50 years from the day of the big game (Dec. 18) to present an autographed photo to be placed in the CHS Alumni Hall.
Duplicates of the team photo were signed by those attending a 50th reunion last October, along with a couple of footballs with the intention of presenting them – not only to the Alumni Hall – but also to Cushing High School.
Later in the day, the group traveled to Shawnee to have dinner and reminisce. The 1958 championship game was played agains Ada in Shawnee.
