(Cushing, Okla) — A variety of artwork by area artists will be on display at the 17th Biennial Cushing Community Art Show at the Lachenmeyer Arts Center. The show will open on Monday, August 29th and run through Friday, September 16th. The Lachenmeyer Arts Center is located in the Cushing Youth & Community Center at 700 S. Little Ave. in Cushing. The public is invited to see the exhibit and attend a closing reception on Friday, September 16th, 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

The Biennial Art Show is a display of jewelry, paintings, photographs, clay, prints, drawings & watercolors created by area artists. This show takes place during September of every even numbered year to recognize artistic talent in the Cushing area.

The 19 artists participating this year include Carol Bear, Lettie Coburn, Larry Crumbliss, Linda Crumbliss, Lori Eberhart, Chris Gasco, M.J. HendersonSmith, Earnestine Hodo, Nell Maxwell, Darrell Maynard, Sharon Mitchell, Connie Nicholson, Kyle Oswald, Emma Page, Rob Smith, Randy Watkins, Linda Wells, Linda Westerman & Tracy Williams.

The 17th Biennial Cushing Community Art Show will run through September 16th. Hours at the Lachenmeyer Arts Center are 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. For more information, please call Rob Smith at 918-225-7525.
