(Cushing, Okla) — Looking for Independence Day celebrations in the area to attend? While several have been canceled or postponed, there are still some fun ways to celebrate this year!
Cushing – Due to pandemic concerns, Cushing canceled its annual 4th of July Celebration/Parade. A fireworks display may be held at a later date.
Stillwater – Out of concern for public health and safety in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City has postponed this year’s Boomer Blast event, an annual Independence Day celebration on July 4. The City is exploring options for a show later this year. However, Catchapalooza, the annual Fishing Tournament held by Lake McMurtry, will proceed as usual on July 4. Information on this event will be posted to lakemcmurtry.org as it becomes available. For questions on this event, call 405.747.8085.
Drumright – The City of Drumright, the Drumright Fire Department, and the Drumright Area Chamber of Commerce will host an Independence Day Fireworks Display at Whitlock Park on Friday, July 3rd 2020 just after sunset.
For the long holiday weekend we will also run the Splash Pad for the extended hours of 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday July 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
During these events, we ask that patrons practice social distancing and wear a mask as needed.
Chandler – There will be a fireworks display at Bell Cow Lake at dusk on July 4th
Stroud – Fireworks display July 4th in Foster Park. Foster Park Pool will be open until 10 pm on July 4th.
Pawnee – The annual 4th of July Games on the Square has been canceled this year. However, the Pawnee Fireworks at the Lake (dusk) event will be held on July 4th at Pawnee Lake with parking available along all sides of the lake. Bring the whole family out to celebrate the birth of our nation with this exceptional display of patriotic fireworks. Campsites are also available for the ultimate Fourth of July experience under the stars in Pawnee.
Skiatook – July 3rd will host Skiatook its annual fireworks display and Fourth of July celebration in a unique setting at the Skiatook Municipal Airport. Come enjoy Fantasy in the Sky with a huge fireworks show and old-fashioned family fun. Due to social distancing guidelines this year, live music and food vendors will not be provided. Guests are encouraged to bring their own food to enjoy during the fireworks show.
