(Cushing, Okla) — When quilters at the Cushing Senior Citizen Center were approached with the question as to whether or not they would be willing to make a quilt to be used for a drawing to help City of Cushing employees, Terry Brannon and Tracy Nicholas and their families, they quickly said, “yes!” Their willingness to create a labor of love has led businesses and individuals to assist in the fundraising endeavor.
A drawing will be held at Cushing High School’s Football Homecoming, October 8th. Tickets, $5 each or 5 for $20, are being sold at the following businesses: Boom Town Nutrition, Cates Supply, Copper Penny, Circle S Meat Market, Cushing Nutrition, Fechner Pump & Supply, Godfredo’s Pizzeria & Tap Room, Root’s Hometown Furniture & Appliances, Ahrberg Milling, Mila’s & Lauri’s Tips & Toes, Be-You-Tiful Boutique and Baker Pharmacy.
This drawing is not associated with the City of Cushing, only caring citizens wanting to help Terry Brannon and Tracy Nicholas as they endure ongoing health issues.
