(Cushing, OK) Having covered far too many homicides as a courthouse reporter for 40 years, I want to emphasize that murder is not a good thing.
It is incredibly tragic, for the victim, the victim’s family, the killer, the killer’s family, the jury, the judge.
For the rioters in the U.S. Capitol, this may be hard to understand: there is nothing honorable about murder.
I urge everyone of good will to pray for the safety of Mike Pence and all public officials.
I hope Democrats and Republicans can agree on one thing: for the future of America, united we stand, divided we fall.
