(Cushing, Okla.) Immanuel Lutheran Church, located 6 miles south of Cushing on Linwood Avenue, is having their “Rural Sunday” event Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013 starting at 10 a.m.
This annual event starts with an outdoor service as well as an animal blessing during the service. Visitors are welcome to bring an animal to be blessed. Those attending may dress in pioneer clothing, jeans and boots – or whatever they feel comfortable in for an outside service.
A sing-a-long will follow a potluck lunch. Anyone may bring a dish to share if they would like.
