A new country gospel show can now be heard on 1600 KUSH radio each Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Tom Borror of Highway to Heaven Ministries was invited to be a guest on the Donna and Molly Show to give listeners a chance to get to find out about Borror, his show and his mission in life.
Borror is described as “an easy going, laid back kind of guy, whose preaching and twinge of country, rhythm & blues Gospel music has captured the attention of America’s heartland.”
Borror is very upfront about his past – “I was a truck driver for 16 years and I’ve done just about everything you might think a truck driver might do. I smoked five packs of cigarettes a day, drank two and a half quarts of whiskey a week and even took some of those little white pills to help me stay awake.”
But all that changed in 1977 when Borrer said he “accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and immediately God set me free from alcohol, drugs and cigarettes.” Most people didn’t expect his new life to last, but 33 years later, Borrer is committed to preaching the Gospel (he is currently pastoring two area churches) and sharing his message through the ministry of music.
His Sunday morning gospel show – KIC “Keeping it Country” will air each Sunday on 1600 KUSH AM radio from 10 – 10:30 a.m. It is Borrer’s desire to feature local country gospel artists and would like to get to know even more such artists to possibly feature them on the show.
