(Cushing, Okla.)  The First Christian Church, 300 E. Moses, Cushing, is teaming up with The Apparent Project to help Haitian parents support themselves and their children.

The Apparent Project artisans use discarded materials such as cereal and cracker boxes to create beautiful “upcycled” pieces of jewelry.  While redeeming the Haitian landscape, these artisans are also bringing new hope to their families, employing themselves for a brighter future and earning the means to pay for their children’s food, shelter and education.

The First Christian Church will be selling items such as jewelry, kid’s jewelry, keychains, bags, Christmas ornament, Christmas stockings and more that have all been handmade in Haiti.  All proceeds go back to the artists that created made the items.

There is something for everyone!  Prices range from $5 to $30.
