The First Christian Church, 300 E. Moses, Cushing, will host this year’s prayer gathering honoring the 60th National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 5, 2011.  Doors will open for coffee, juice and donuts at 7 a.m. with the program beginning at 7:30 a.m.

John O’Dell will be the featured speaker at this year’s event.  O’Dell is the Oklahoma State Director of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). 

(An offering will be taken for the local FCA.)

Special music will be provided by the Cushing Community Children’s Choir, directed by Holly Tichenor. 

Other events in Cushing honoring National Day of Prayer include

student led “Prayer at the Poles” at each school (please check with your student’s school for details); Come & Go Prayer, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 418 E. Moses; Linwood Village will also hold a service at 2 p.m. that day.  KUSH will air the featured National Day of Prayer, prayer, read by Suzie Crowder at noon on Thursday, May 5th.
