For the sixth consecutive year, Stillwater Medical Center has been recognized by Newsweek as one of the World’s Best Hospitals, reinforcing the organization’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality care close to home.
“This recognition reflects more than a moment in time—it speaks to the consistency of our people, our processes and our purpose,” said Denise Webber, president of Stillwater Medical. “Healthcare is constantly evolving, and our team continues to rise to that challenge by focusing on what matters most: safe, compassionate, and personalized care for every patient we serve.”
Since 2021, Stillwater Medical has consistently been named among the World’s Best Hospitals and continues to rank among the top healthcare organizations in the nation. The honor highlights the health system’s sustained performance across quality, safety and patient-centered care metrics.
The rankings are developed through a partnership between Newsweek and Statista, based on a comprehensive evaluation that includes input from thousands of medical experts, patient experience data, hospital quality metrics and a Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Implementation Survey. PROMs are standardized surveys that capture patients’ perspectives on their health, quality of life, and overall outcomes.
This continued recognition underscores Stillwater Medical’s focus on delivering care that is both clinically excellent and deeply rooted in community needs. From advanced technologies to coordinated care teams, the organization remains committed to improving access and outcomes for patients across north-central Oklahoma.
“Our team takes pride in making sure every patient feels cared for and supported,” said Rocky Dunnam, Director of Nutrition Services at Stillwater Medical. “I remember the first time I saw Denise; she was outside a safety huddle crying with a patient who had just lost a baby. She was late to the meeting because she took the time to simply be there with them. You don’t see that from CEOs. There’s a reason Stillwater Medical is successful, and it starts at the top.”
It is this patient-centered approach to care that continues to contribute to Stillwater Medical’s strong rankings in patient experience, exceptional nurse communication and outstanding rural and community healthcare.
In addition to being named among the World’s Best Hospitals, Stillwater Medical has also received numerous recognitions from Press Ganey, Healthgrades,
Women’s Choice Award and others. The health system has also been named one of Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work for 14 consecutive years.
Stillwater Medical is a not-for-profit community health system powered by nearly 2,000 employees serving patients across north-central Oklahoma. To learn more or explore career opportunities, visit www.stillwatermedical.com.
