STILLWATER — A 25-year-old Oklahoma City man accused of stealing a truck at a Cushing service station and fleeing at 100+ mph on SH 33 has been ordered to appear in court on Aug. 20 on a two-felony charge punishable by up to 10 years in prison on conviction.
Jacob Tyler Fullagar was arrested 17 minutes later in the area of Highway 33 and Triple XXX Road after abruptly stopping and pulling to the shoulder, according to court records.
Payne County Sheriff’s Deputy Cooper Tanner alleged in an affidavit, “I exited my patrol vehicle and pulled my department-issued handgun from its holster and pointed towards Fullagar.     “I instructed Fullagar to show me his hands. Fullagar put both of his hands out of the driver’s side window and said, ‘I’m done, it’s in park.’
“I advised Fullagar that he was under arrest for eluding at the least, and he said, ‘I know. I don’t know what I was doing bro. I’m sorry.
“Fullagar stated there was a bag in the bed of the vehicle that was his.
“Fullagar then said, ‘I was at Cushing Hospital. I’m a piece of s**t. I live in Oklahoma City. I was in Cushing. I don’t know what happened.’
“I retrieved the bag from the bed of the vehicle and searched the bag. Inside the bag were miscellaneous clothes, chips, a vape, and a wallet.
“State Trooper Ty Burns transported Fullagar to the Payne County Jail while I remained with the vehicle for the owner to retrieve it.
“(The owner) arrived on the scene to take possession of the vehicle. (He) stated his wife had stopped at the gas station and while inside observed a male jump into the vehicle and take off.”
The 1999 Chevrolet pickup had been reported stolen at 7:04 pm on June 7 in the 600 block of E. Main Street, according to an affidavit by Cushing Police Officer Katherine Hinkle.
“Deputy Tanner located the truck west of Cushing and ultimately was in pursuit with it. The pursuit ended in the area of Highway 33 and Main Street outside of Coyle,”: her affidavit said.
