(Stillwater, Okla.) — A 43-year-old Stillwater woman, who has a history of drug and mental health issues, has been jailed on $10,000 bail pending her arraignment today on an indecent exposure charge.
If convicted of exposing her private parts in a public place, Darmaecia Brendette Hill, who has also been known as Brenda Hill and Angela D. Hill-Flood, could be incarcerated for 30 days to 10 years, court records show.
Hill was arrested at 1200 N. Perkins Road at 3:30 pm on May 8 by Stillwater Police Officer Joey Johnsonbaugh, who had been sent there on an indecent exposure investigation, court records show.
“I observed Darmaecia Hill sitting on the curb just south of the leasing office,” the officer wrote in his affidavit.
“I made contact with Darmaecia, who was wearing an orange shirt and had no pants or underwear on,” the officer alleged in his affidavit.
“Darmaecia’s legs were spread open, and I told her to put a pair of shorts on she was holding in her hand,” the officer alleged in his affidavit.
The officer had been called to the scene after “A witness observed Darmaecia outside sitting with her legs spread open with nothing on below the waist,” the affidavit alleged.
The witness said, “she saw everything from the waist down,” the affidavit alleged.
According to court records and the state Department of Corrections, Hill had previously been convicted of:
* assault on an emergency medical technician in Oklahoma City in 2022 for which she was initially placed in a mental health program, but that sentence was changed on April 28, 2023, to two years of probation;
* methamphetamine possession in 2015 and child neglect in 2014 in Payne County for which she was originally placed on probation in 2016, but her sentences were changed in December of 2017 to concurrent terms of three and one-half years in prison with intensive substance abuse treatment; she was apparently released in October of 2020.
