(STILLWATER, OK) – Stillwater Police Department’s newest officer, K9 Yari and his handler Officer Knox completed 368 hours of training at the Houston K9 Academy in Houston, Texas. Yari received an award for “Top Dog” in his class. Yari and Officer Knox work patrol during the evening hours, but are ready when needed.
We couldn’t have done this without K9s4COPs program that completely funded this important, additional safety effort for our department. Yari will be a major asset to not only the Stillwater Police Department, but the citizens of Stillwater.
Yari is a Belgian Malinois and is 20 months old. Yari is originally from Holland.
