Nine Join Regional Food Bank’s Board of Directors and Foundation Board

(OKLAHOMA CITY) — The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma has announced the addition of six new members to its Board of Directors and three new members to its Foundation Board of Directors. Members have also taken new officer roles within each board.

“We are happy to welcome nine dedicated hunger fighters to join the Regional Food Bank’s boards,” said Stacy Dykstra, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. “Their expertise and diverse backgrounds will be integral to our work as we work to provide meals to Oklahomans living with hunger.”

The Regional Food Bank’s Board of Directors and Foundation Board of Directors are tasked with oversight over the operations, programs and administration of the organization. The members are serving from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022.

The following members will join the Regional Food Bank’s Board of Directors:

  • Demetra Bailey, B&B Catering
  • Jose Ibarra, Supermercados Morelos
  • Vanessa Morrison, University of Oklahoma Institute for Quality Communities
  • Dr. Lydia Nightingale, Variety Care
  • Mike Potter, CompSource Mutual Insurance Company
  • Johnny Whitfield, OG&E

Jeremy Humphers, Devon Energy, is serving as chair of the Regional Food Bank Board of Directors. Dave Lopez, Lopez Foods, is vice chair while Phi Nguyen, Downtown OKC Partnership, is the treasurer and Collins Peck, Lingo Construction Services is serving as secretary.

The Regional Food Bank’s Foundation Board of Directors manages the organizations endowments and investments.

Joining the Regional Food Bank’s Foundation Board of Directors are:

  • Sarah Grose, Chesapeake Energy
  • Austin Willet, Bank7 Corporation
  • Rainey Williams, Marco Capital Group

Jason Strasser, Caption Partners, LLC, and Bonnie Kennedy, University of Oklahoma Foundation, continue to serve as chair and vice chair, respectively, of the Regional Food Bank’s Foundation Board of Directors. Alyson Young-Gilbert, Oklahoma Electrical Supply Company, is serving as both secretary and treasurer.
