(Stillwater, Okla.) — Since another alleged victim has come forward, a Stillwater Junior High School teacher is now facing a possible 30-year prison term if convicted of sex-related crimes involving two former students.
In a case filed last week, Alberto Morejon IV, 27, of Stillwater, was accused of oral sodomy of a 16-year-old girl whom he had befriended when she was an eighth-grade student of his at age 14 in the 2015-2016 school year, according to an affidavit by Stillwater Police Detective Sherae LeJeune.
“During that time, she went to Alberto’s classroom every day after school…(she) felt safe with Alberto and confided much of her personal life with him,” the affidavit alleged.
In the summer after the eighth grade, the girl and her former teacher began communicating using Snapchat, the affidavit alleged.
“Their conversations began normal. Eventually, the content of Alberto’s messages became flirtatious and sexualized in nature,” the affidavit alleged.
Her former teacher sent the girl images of himself “grabbing his groin and ‘imprint’ images, his erect penis covered by his underwear,” in almost every conversation, the affidavit alleged.
The girl said “she did reluctantly send approximately seven nude images of herself over the four years they communicated,” the affidavit alleged.
Her former teacher talked to the girl “continuously through their years of communication about trust. He asked if he can trust her not to save any images or messages he sent her,” the affidavit alleged.
Her former teacher told the girl “about a neighbor’s house that is often vacant that he had access to. He invited her to meet him at that house where they do things. He told her there were no cameras in the home and his wife would think he was over there to check on the house,” the affidavit alleged.
The girl said “Alberto also invited her to his house when his wife was out of town,” the affidavit alleged.
“She said Alberto often talked to her about sex and oral sex,” the affidavit alleged.
She said “she and Alberto did meet one time for the purpose of perform a sexual act. When (she) was 16-years-old, Alberto invited her to see him. (She) said she drove to an area near Alberto’s neighborhood. He picked her up in his Jeep and drove her to a dark street in his neighborhood because he did not want anyone to see her in his vehicle,” the affidavit alleged.
After the girl performed oral sex on her former teacher, “Alberto asked her if anyone knew where she was and if she had a tracking device on her vehicle or her phone. He dropped her off a block away from her vehicle and made her promise not to tell anyone,” the affidavit alleged.
“Alberto was arrested and charged for engaging in sexual communication with a minor by use of technology on May 19, 2020,” a felony commonly called sexting that carries as much as a 10-year prison term on conviction, the affidavit said.
In the case filed last week alleging oral sodomy when she was 16, the now 18-year-old girl met with the detective on May 27 at the Stillwater Police Department, according to the affidavit.
She said “she had been in constant communication with Alberto up until his arrest,” and gave details of the inside and outside of his home from images he had sent her, the affidavit alleged.
“She was also able to describe his clothing and other identifiers about his person that were consistent with the testimony in the previous case,” the affidavit alleged.
In the case filed in May that alleged sexting of a different 16-year-old girl, Morejon began communicating with that girl in 2018 when she was a 14-year-old student of his, an affidavit alleged.
“Alberto sent images of exposed male genitalia as well as ‘imprint’ images, an erect penis concealed by tight-fitting clothing such as underwear,” the affidavit alleged.
That girl “received approximately five images of an exposed penis over the past two years. She received ‘imprint’ images in almost every conversation,” the affidavit alleged.
“Alberto requested (the girl) send unclothed images of herself to him. Alberto also told (the girl) they could meet together at a residence accessible to him where they would not be found,” the affidavit alleged.
“Alberto left his residence in the Jeep that was also seen in the pictures. He was stopped on traffic by a marked patrol unit and placed under arrest,” according to the detective, who had allegedly posed as the teen in a controlled conversation with Morejon on Instagram with the permission of the girl and her guardian.
Morejon remains free on $52,500 total bail with a condition set by Special District Judge Katherine Thomas that he have no contact with any person under the age of 18 by any means except a family member.
Morejon has been ordered to appear in court on July 6 when he can seek a preliminary hearing on both of his sex-related charges involving former students, court records show.
