(Stillwater, Okla.) — A repeat drug offender from Cushing, who got out of prison about three years ago, has been charged with possessing methamphetamine and marijuana with intent to distribute in a case investigated by the Payne County Sheriff’s Office.

Constance Lynn Edwards, 30, who has also used the middle name of Frances, was not in the Payne County Jail this morning on the felony charge that was filed last week, court records show.

Edwards was also charged with misdemeanor counts of attempting to elude a sheriff’s deputy by driving from State Highway 18 and McElroy Road into Pawnee County, and also possessing drug paraphernalia, which was listed as a marijuana smoking pipe, all on Jan. 11.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Edwards had three prior drug convictions from Payne County:

* possessing a drug in Cushing in 2013 for which she was originally given probation that was revoked in 2016 to four years and nine months in prison, of which she served about 14 months;

* possessing methamphetamine in 2014 for which she was originally given probation that was revoked in 2016 to a concurrent sentence of four years and nine months in prison, of which she served about 13 months;

* possessing methamphetamine in 2015 for which she was given a concurrent sentence in 2016 of five years in prison, of which she served about 15 months.
