(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing teenager accused of delivering methamphetamine to an informant for the Stillwater Police Department in the parking lot of a gas station has been ordered to appear in court on Nov. 27 on the felony charge punishable by a prison term of two years to life on conviction.
Alphonzo Devers Jr., 19, was arrested at 11:17 a.m. on Oct. 22 and released the next day from the Payne County Jail on $15,000 bond, court records show.
Stillwater Police Officer Josh Carson was contacted on Oct. 22 by a confidential informant, who contacted Devers on Facebook Messenger to set up a purchase of methamphetamine, an affidavit alleged.
The informant said that Devers “would be driving an older model ‘beat up’ black sedan,” which was observed by surveillance units on the northeast side of a service station at 6th and Jefferson in Stillwater, the affidavit alleged.
“I drove to the rear of the vehicle and ordered Alphonzo (Devers) from the passenger’s seat. Alphonzo complied and was holding the buy money I provided,” to the informant, the Stillwater officer alleged in his affidavit.
“Alphonzo spontaneously uttered, ‘I f….. up, it’s on me. She (the driver) had nothing to do with it. Alphonzo told us she was only providing him a ride,” the Stillwater officer alleged in his affidavit. The female driver was released from the scene, the affidavit said.
A total of two grams of methamphetamine was seized, the affidavit alleged.
