(Stillwater, Okla.) – A Cushing woman who served sentences for possession of cocaine in Creek County and methamphetamine in Payne County was charged Monday with possessing methamphetamine in Cushing on Friday.
Diana Jean Hopkins, 56, was released from the Payne County Jail on $10,000 bail Saturday pending a Dec. 21 court appearance with an attorney on her latest drug charge.
Hopkins, who got out of prison four and one-half years ago, according to state Department of Corrections records was previously convicted of:
* drug delivery in Lincoln County in 1993 for which she was placed on six years’ probation in 1999;
* cocaine possession in Creek County in 1998 on which she served about half of a five-year prison sentence;
* knowingly concealing stolen property in Drumright in 2004 for which she was originally placed on five years’ probation in 2005 that was revoked two years later to a five-year prison term consecutive to her cocaine sentence;
* drug possession in Creek County in 2006 for which she was given a two-year prison term consecutive to her stolen property sentence;
* methamphetamine possession in Payne County in 2006 on which she served about one and one-half years of a five-year prison term;
* bail jumping, two counts, in Creek County in 2007 for which she served about three months of two concurrent one-year sentences.
If convicted of her latest drug charge, Hopkins could be given a prison term of four to 20 years, court records show.
