(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.

 A collision occurred on Wednesday, November 11th (2015) at approximately 12:23 (pm) at 56th street and Fairgrounds (4 miles south, and 1 mile east of Stillwater) in Payne County.

A female, 17 years of age, from Carney (name withheld) was driving a 2002 Mercury going eastbound on 56th street when witnesses reported that the driver failed to stop at the stop sign. The 2002 Mercury was struck by a northbound, 2001 Ford F750 truck driven by Clayton Ryon (26) of Stillwater.

The female driver of the Mercury was transported by Air Evac to Southwest Medical Center (OKC) where she received treatment and was released. Her passenger a 17 year old male from Carney (was pinned for approximately 40 minutes prior to being freed by the Stillwater Fire Department) was transported by Mediflight to OU Medical Center (OKC) and admitted in critical condition with multiple injuries both internal and external. Ryon, the driver of the truck, was not injured.

The Department of Public Safety report shows that some seatbelts were in use.
