(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.

 

A personal injury collision occurred on Friday, October 16th (2015) at approximately 9:57 (pm) on Maple Drive about 2 miles south, and 1 mile east of Kellyville, in Creek County.

 

Briar C. Simmons (20) of Mounds was driving a 1995 Ford F150 southbound on Maple Drive at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the left side of the roadway, overturning 2 times, and ejecting Simmons and all of the passengers.

 

Simmons was transported to St Francis Hospital (Tulsa), by Creek County EMS where he was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk, and back injuries. Simmons passengers Braden R. Welker (20) of Tulsa, Jared L. Gibson (18) of Sand Springs, and Katelyn D. Ensley (16) of Broken Arrow were all transported to area hospitals. Welker and Ensley were treated and released, but Gibson was admitted in stable condition.
