(Cushing) – Cushing Rotary Club members heard Thursday more about the organizations long running student exchange programs. A video of a speech given by a student who spent a year in the Netherlands was shown by David Reid, who noted that although the club is not hosting an exchange student this year, the club is helping to sponsor a student from Cushing, Kheylian Hockett, who will spend a school year in Vera Cruz, Mexico. Hockett was the subject of a program last month at the weekly Rotary Meeting.
Upcoming programs for the Rotary Club include Joe Kennedy presenting a program about the Federal Reserve next week, the Teacher’s appreciation banquet August 21st, and OSU Basketball Coach Travis Ford on September 4th.
