(Yale, Okla.) The Yale Fire Department hosted an Exterior Offensive Fire Attack and Structural Scene Size-Up this past Saturday, August 29th (2015). The course, which addressed the exterior offensive fire attack strategy (students consider advantages and limitations), was approximately 8 hours in length and was taught by Brian Wood, an instructor from Fire Service Training.

The course used small group activities where the students evaluated a fire scenario to determine if exterior offensive fire attack was feasible to develop a strategy.

Wood is a Fire Chief from the Bixby Fire Department and has been in Fire Service for 24 years.

Additionally, there were 18 other firefighters from different fire departments through out the state including; Yale, Hominy, Jennings, Silver City, Berryhill, and Marshall.

The Yale Fire Department had 6 firefighters that attended the course.
