(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Yale man was arraigned Monday from the Payne County Jail on a charge of making an indecent proposal to a child under 16 on Saturday, in a case investigated by the Yale Police Department.
Everett Ross Harvill, 38, who previously lived in Cushing, remains held on $40,000 bail set by Payne County Special District Judge Katherine Thomas, who gave him an application for a court-appointed attorney on Monday.
Harvill has been accused of asking the girl if she wanted to hold his penis and if she wanted him to show it to her, according to the felony charge filed Monday by Payne County Assistant District Attorney Diane Vaughan.
If convicted, Harvill could be incarcerated for three years to 20 years, court records show.
Harvill has been scheduled to appear in court on Thursday afternoon with an attorney, court records show.
