(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
An injury collision occurred on July 31st (2015) at 10:42 (pm) on State Highway 33 about one half mile east of Harmony Road which is approximately a half mile east of Cushing.
Anthony W. White (25) of Cushing and Cari A. Vaughn (31) of Stroud were involved in the traffic accident when White’s 2003 Chevy pickup collided with the rear of Vaughn’s 2003 Nissan Altima. Both vehicles were eastbound on State Highway 33 with the Altima having stopped at a traffic light when the accident occurred.
White was transported by Cushing Fire Department to Hillcrest Hospital (Cushing) and again by Cushing Fire Department to St. Francis Hospital (Tulsa) where he was admitted in serious condition. Vaughn refused treatment at the scene but did have injuries, and her passenger age 6 of Stroud was not injured.
The DPS reports shows that seatbelts were equipped and in use in both vehicles. The cause of the accident was reported to be intoxication.
