(Cushing, Okla.) On Monday June 29th, just after 6:00 a.m. members of the Cushing Police Department with the assistance of Payne County Sheriff’s Office served a narcotics search warrant at 216 E. 6th Street Cushing.

During the search of the residence, Cushing Police Officers seized numerous items, which included containers containing a green leafy substance, drug paraphernalia and more than 30 firearms.

As a result of the seized items, Cushing resident Thomas Greene, 26 was taken into custody and later charged with the following: possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within a 1000 feet from a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of stolen property and failure to affix tax stamp.

“I would like to commend Ofc. Sherman, Ofc. Haywood, MPO Sappington, Ofc. Bruggman, Ofc. Hall and Ofc. Perry for all their hard work during this narcotics investigation”, Deputy Chief Claxton said. “It is due to their investigation that we were able to successfully remove these items from our streets.”
