Stillwater, Okla.) – A Cushing man who has mental disabilities has been placed on seven years’ probation for slapping a 10-year-old boy and punching him in the left eye last summer, to which he pleaded guilty, with his restitution to be determined in 120 days.

Jeffrey Lynn Alexander II, 34, was given a deferred sentence Friday for that felony, as well as two other crimes he admittedly committed while he was free on bail on the child injury charge. Alexander “has been found disabled due to mental retardation and ADHD, and receives social security benefits for this,” according to court records.

Alexander kicked and destroyed an exterior air conditioning unit belong to Love Inc. in Cushing on Dec. 5, 2014. For malicious injury to property, Alexander was also placed on seven years’ probation Friday, with an order to pay $2,072 restitution along with $335 in fines and assessments.

Alexander broke a window at the AT&T building in Cushing and entered with intent to steal property on Dec. 8, 2014. For second-degree burglary, Alexander was also placed on seven years’ probation Friday, with his restitution to be determined in 120 days.

Alexander stole two garage door tracks from Cimarron Glass in Cushing on Dec. 9, 2014. For petty larceny, Alexander was given a 30 day jail term Friday with an order to pay the cost of his incarceration.
