(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A collision occurred at approximately 5:30 (a.m.) on May 1 (2015) on State Highway 18 at County Road 4400 in Pawnee County, Oklahoma.
Michael Jack Hutchinson (30) of Fairfax was driving a 2006 Dodge Dakota northbound on State Highway 18, when it departed the roadway to the right and collided with several trees.
Hutchinson was not injured, however his passenger Melissa Dawn Young (28) of Ralston was transported to Fairfax Hospital and went by Life Flight to St. Francis Hospital (Tulsa) where she was admitted in stable condition with multiple injuries.
The report shows that seat-belts were not in use and that the airbags did not deploy. An odor of alcohol was present. Inattention is reported to be the cause of the accident.
