(Cushing, Okla.) A person of interest in the murder of 67-year-old Michael Mondier, Sr. in Creek County has been located and arrested. Deputies arrested Arnold Dean Howell, Jr. (d.o.b. 1/16/1993) on a complaint of murder in the first degree and armed robbery. Deputies arrest Howell in motel parking lot in west Tulsa this afternoon. Deputies found Mondier dead inside his recreational vehicle Monday during a welfare check. It appears Mondier had been stabbed to death. Information from witnesses and evidence collected at several scenes indicates Howell murdered Mondier. Katherine Elaine Freeman, Howell’s sister, was also arrested for first degree murder. Both suspects were booked into the Creek County jail.
When Mondier’s body was found Monday evening, the Creek County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance with the case.
