(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A two vehicle collision occurred at 5:39 (pm) on April 3 (2015) at 68th Street and Brush Creek Road, which is 3 miles south of the city limits of Stillwater in Payne County.
The vehicles, a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck and a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup, collided when the Chevy truck that was headed southbound on Brush Creek Road failed to stop at the stop sign. The Chevy entered into the intersection colliding the Dodge Ram (which was heading westbound on 68th Street) on the passenger side.
Justin Layne Rollins (22) of Tryon, Oklahoma was transported by EagleMed to OU Medical Center in critical condition with unknown injuries. Joshua Clint Rollins (23) of Perkins, Oklahoma was pronounced dead at the scene from head and external injuries. Rollins was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office. Dustin Hughes (23) of Perkins, Oklahoma refused treatment. Craig Lee Tabor (31) of Stillwater, Oklahoma was transported by ambulance to Stillwater Medical Center where he was treated and released. Keith Douglas Gandy (63) of Joplin, Missouri was pronounced dead at the scene from unknown injuries and was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office. Nicole Regina Tabor (29) of Stillwater, Oklahoma was pronounced dead at the scene from unknown injuries and transported to the Medical Examiner’s office. A male juvenile (5) of Stillwater, Oklahoma whose name has been withheld was transported by Mediflight to OU Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City in stable condition with unknown injuries.
The cause of the collision is reported to be failure to stop. Some seat-belts were in use.
