(Oklahoma City, Okla.) The 46th Annual Department of Public Safety awards luncheonwill be held Wednesday, March 25th, 2015, at the Embassy Suites ConferenceCenter located at 2501 Conference Drive in Norman. The luncheon will startat 11:30 AM and is expected to go until at least 1:00 PM.
This event is held to honor 2014 recipients of Trooper of the Year,Communication Officer of the Year, DPS Administrative Professional of theYear, Chief and Commissioner’s awards, and more. Three Jerry Marx Memorialawards will also be given to those media outlets who showed excellence inreporting traffic safety.
State Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol will set up a staticdisplay of equipment including: bomb squad robot, tactical armoredvehicle, interceptor motorcycles, helicopter and patrol boat.
All Oklahoma media are welcome and encouraged to attend.
